Diet Coke update

Wednesday, May 9 2007

slim – stop rolling your eyes!!

One of the things I love living here in the US is that it is much more products to choose from. Like the new Diet Coke plus that I came across in Safeway the other day. It was the last box so I had to buy it.

Diet Coke plus

Apparently, this one has some added vitamins. What do I know? It tastes ok but that last kick on the tongue is missing.

No – I am going back to this one … Diet Coke Splenda.

Diet Coke Splenda

Apparently, this one has a (more?) natural sweetener then the regular Diet Coke which allegedly has a carcinogenic component in it. What do I know? It tastes good and has that last kick on the tongue 😉

The regular Diet Coke tastes the best.

The worst is Coca Cola light – a different recipe and so far China’s version has been the most yucky one.

Damn the spam

I got a manual spam that I ended up reading read, which I guess they should have some spam points. But what I am going to do is post it here, with the email so hopefully *fingers crossed* they will get inundated with spam.

subject Change of name

Hi Liz (eee WTF? we are not on first name basis and certainly not on a nick name basis. Manual spam since I never use this name. This is not even my name)

Many thanks for returning the broker authority, membership etc. (What can’t be arsed to list all the supposedly documents that I sent you …. lazy spambitch)

Are you wanting to change your investments to reflect that you have reverted to your maiden name? (Nope, you have not a clue what my life status is) If so, we will need a copy of your birth certificate, a letter showing your old and new signature, and a letter from your solicitor advising that you are separated and resuming your maiden name. (yeah right … please hold your breath while waiting, that would solve the problem.)

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

This is something that I would never do but I enjoy watching it.

Catching up

Wednesday, May 2 2007

Yesterday, I was numb and had no energy whatsoever. I guess I have a limited quota of being social and that was zapped up by the inlaws. Still, in the evening we went out to a dinner and party and it wasn’t that bad. I did zoom out occasional. A mini break was at the balcony, playing with my Treo and took a video clip of the pool outside and emailed it to YouTube and a pic to Flickr.

Over the weekend, we took the BART to Berkeley. We walked around for a bit and saw a few of the university buildings. The campus is massive! It had a chilled atmosphere and some typical signs 😉

We also went to Twin Peaks. I can recommend this spot if you are visiting SF. The view is spectacular!! It goes from the Pacific Ocean to the SF Bay and the insight of how small city SF really is. Annoyingly, I ran out of battery in my camera (WHY, Canon, can’t there be a battery symbol as it is on mobile phones???)Market St and downtown
