Our things have arrived!!

Yesterday, finally!!! The boxes are in the building. I packed thinking it would arrived 4-6 weeks later and not 3 months, 8 days later. It has been basic living until now and now it is semi-basic living.
This is what I missed the most: My dear King size duvet. I had such good night sleep last night. The washing & dryer machines are bigger here in the US and I, with some force, pushed the duvet in and got it cleaned.
With some clever packing like this, only one plate and a bowl got broken. Computer, decks & LCD screen were just fine.
If you want to snoop some more of my unimportant stuff, I have made it available on my Flickr.

I snooped through your things. LOL You weren’t charging me $40 to do it, either. You have lots of cooking things and lots of sharp things. I’m afraid of sharp things. I’m not afraid of cooking things, I am merely unused to those things. And I’ve now run out of ways to use the noun ‘things’ … and that is some thing 🙂

Uhm, yeah, well, you see I don’t really use the sharp OR the cooking things as I find cooking very very stressful. I get grumpy when hungry and then to do cooking *tsk* as good combo as talking to me in the mornings. I had more pics of the cooking the wokpan, two other pans but I thought that was OTT.
Since duvet arrived (had another good night sleep!) life has become a bit better. There is no tugging wars going on anymore, I know that it was a concern for world peace but the conflict has cooled off.
We left all the furniture in London and this flat doesn’t have any. That is the semibasic status 🙂

erin, LOL no fancy posh or Paris stuff
the tone has a certain honesty and no obvious PR / ad but there is still self-promotion in there. I don’t know, maybe the penny will drop.
And now when I using the rss thingy, I got little annoyed that they didn’t have any feed.
