RSS; comments

Monday, January 15 2007

I am going make a real try with the RSS Feeder thing so I have updated Newz Crawler and deleted all my bookmarks.

It certainly makes it quicker but I miss the blogskins. It is dull to see all the post in black and white. First impression, anyway.

And then there is the comment feed. Harsh, who commented in the previous post, gave me his comment feed so I’ve added that. Anyone else?

For the other comments, I am trying co.mments … yeah! and the updates done on the star sheet (not by me) was easy to download to Windows Media Writer and the updates are working fine :) Hopefully it should also be ok on the feed.

I am the last uncivilized person on the planet. I’m not using feeds. I don’t really understand how it all works except that I think it means you can read all the blogs from one place without actually going to the blog itself. As for me, if you want me, come find me ;) Otherwise, you might miss a picture or something lol

Haven’t used co.comments but I like http://www.cocomment.com better, as it gives you a firefox extension that auto appears on a comment box, no need to click a silly bookmarklet :D

Yeah, I would miss when you change the “About me” pics I wont see that but I do get the pics from the blog post. Also, it does mess upp the stats and using feed doesn’t show up on the webstats.

co.ommets goes on the Newz Crawler so I am going trying to see how I like it. cocomment is next in line if I don’t like the first one.

Cap – Feeds are good to keep track of updates if you read many blogs daily. Of course, you can then click on the feed entries and visit the site, comment there etc… for the update’s sake, feeds rule :P
